The shopper mogul universe is an always on persistant world with algorithms constantly running to tick over the game days, simulating shoppers' purchasing decisions, managing the retailer shelf stocking behaviour and adjusting the stock market reaction to your company's decisions.

From the World menu you can explore the game world, run shopper intercept surveys to undeerstand the needs wants and history of an individual shopper, you can learn more about the categories and retailers that are active and which products are being listed.

At the stock market you can track your company's overall peformance relative to the competition

Shoppers

At the heart of everything in the game are the Shoppers. They are constantly making purchasing decions, consuming and restocking product. A game of Shopper Mogul can have thousands of shoppers in it - to win you will have to maximise the revenue you can make from each consumer by thinking about the different expectations that different consumers have.
At any time you can run a random shopper intercept survey to find out about a unique individual's consumer type, shopping mission, and purchasing preferences to help you better understand why that conusmer made the choices they made.

Stock Market

Just like in the real world, there are many ways to assess and measure success. At the stock market you can track the value of your company alongside the profit, revenue and market share lines.
You can delve into companies' performance and how they are manging spend by drilling into the high level P & L that's published for each company - at the end of a game players will have become skilled at reading a P & L.

Game Categories

In each game the companies can compete across a number of categories. Each category has its own level of elasticity and is likely to attact its own shopper types and retailers.

You can see what brands are competing in each category and how they have been positioned in the market.

Retailers

There are several retailers where you can compete to get your product stocked, each retailer is focused on providing a retailer format relevant to servicing a particular type of shopper need and consumer type.
The limited shelf space available in retailers means that competition to be listed is hot. Your sales director will have to consider which categories, which brands, which price points and pack sizes are going to be most relevant to the shoppers in each retailer.
